Hello there, DinoMan here with a new public release for CBLT! It has been literal years since we released a version of CBLT that wasn’t a Recode. WE’RE FINALLY RELEASING 0.6! There are things in this update that we’ve been waiting a really long time to include, as well as some new things that came about through the course of development. It’s been a long road, but it’s nothing but future from here on out!

A huge shoutout to my Patrons as well, who have been willing to help financially support the development of the game. And the biggest shoutout to everyone who's followed me and the rest of the dev team throughout this journey - thanks for playing CBLT, and we hope you continue to enjoy it as we start delving into the storyline in 0.6 and beyond!

WHAT’S NEW IN CBLT 0.6?!

Week Five 85.714286% Complete – Someone had a good night. Most of the first years didn’t, and this week immediately follows the aftermath of the big changes that occurred to Cobalt and Blaze’s relationship. But there’s other things going on, and in the City of Vale, trouble is brewing… and so is Oobleck’s coffee.

Weiss’s 1st Route Event (Writing+Art) – You can now go on your 1st route event with Weiss Schnee! This includes a new CG Art Piece made by Keyliom! …Well, new to the game. We’ve had this one for a while.

Teal’s 1st Route Event (Writing+Art) – You can also go on your 1st route event with Teal Brimstone! Like with the Weiss event, this event also includes a CG Art Piece made by Keyliom!

Peach’s 1st Route Event (Writing+) - Yes, you can romance Peach! This route event is temporarily CG-less due to budget concerns and a priority towards replacing and adding sprites, but one day we will add in a CG for this event! In the meantime though, have fun helping Peach with her more elaborate dust experiments.

New Backgrounds (Bunnyvoid) – Bunnyvoid continues to create amazing backgrounds for CBLT! If you find yourself in Ozpin’s office, you’ll see that she’s created a stunning new rendition of the space, complete with a steaming mug of hot chocolate! (Not for student consumption.)

New Music Pieces (PlotTwistStudios) – PlotTwist continues to make new music pieces for CBLT! Joining the CBLT Soundtrack this time are pieces such as “Time Bypassed”, “And Now The Juice Was Left Out”, “Fun Fun New Events”, “Terrible Tension”, “BlueFire Reborn”, “Chordant Troubles”, “Ideally Lazy Day” and “World of Flora." …Yeah, we had a lot of time to create music pieces since 0.5 Recode came out.

Sage D’Vaux (New Character) - Rounding off Team SASI is Sage, the smallest member of the second year team. Players will be able to meet her while they’re out and about in Vale, as she helps out the rest of her team investigate something in the city.

Wait… does that mean Bella’s back too? …Uh oh.

White Fang (New Characters) – Once a peaceful activist organization, created to improve relations between Humans and Faunus and improve the civil rights of the latter, the White Fang have been adopting more and more radical methods in recent years. These methods are beginning to bring them into conflict with the students of Beacon, especially as they begin sniffing around the dust shops all over Vale.

Azure Ironclad (New Character) - The first of CBLT’s original villains, Azure Ironclad is one of the people who are currently helping the White Fang in their unknown, but nefarious, plans. Not much is known about him, but curiously, he seems to have had one of his antennae broken.

Background Character 1 (New Character) - I know those teeth…

Yang Xiao Long (New Outfit) Yang can finally wear her Beacon threads in this outfit! This uniform sprite came in at the very last minute, but Amaco did some completely amazing work on this sprite, as she always does!

Nora Valkyrie (New Outfit) - Nora can finally wear her Beacon threads in this outfit! This uniform sprite came in even later than the uniform Yang sprite, but Amaco still did some amazing work with this outfit, as always.

Pyrrha Nikos (New Outfit) - Pyrrha gets a uniform outfit as well! ...We actually had this commissioned at the same time as the Nora uniform, and it came in at the exact same time as well. ...I think Amaco broke records with how quickly he got these uniform sprites done and Dusted (it only took him about two weeks to complete all three). Regardless, all three sprites are amazing, and Pyrrha's uniform is no exception!

Horatio Soplar (Updated Sprite) - Horatio’s finally gotten himself an actual sprite! And he looks absolutely incredible! If you want to see him in action, you can find him in the Beacon Academy kitchens during the afternoon.

Professor Amanita Peach (Updated Sprite) - Okay, this is one I’d been waiting to update for a really long time. The original version of Professor Peach’s sprite had been created for a different character in a different game, but for this one, I went and collaborated with Amanita’s creator, Rainshadow, to commission a new version of the sprite that brings her more in line with what Rain and I wanted for her.

Background Characters 2 and 3 - Now who could these be? Blaze’s adopted parents? Cobalt’s parents? Torch and Chaos? Anakin and Obi-Wan? Only the dev team knows for sure.
